Southport Yacht Club (SYC) is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance / Handyperson to join our team on a casual basis (4 days per week). This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and can work independently across our multiple venues.

About the Role:

You'll be responsible for general maintenance and repairs across our Club sites, including basic carpentry, painting, minor plumbing and electrical work, furniture and fixture upkeep, and assisting with event setups when needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar maintenance or handyperson role
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Full driver's licence (own vehicle preferred)
  • Sound understanding of OHS and safe work practices
  • Physically fit and capable of manual work
  • Positive attitude, good communication skills, and team-minded

Position Details:

  • Casual position – approximately 4 days per week
  • Hours and days flexible depending on operational needs
  • Work across multiple SYC venues (Main Beach, Hollywell, Oxenford & Dux Anchorage at South Stradbroke Is.)
