**Role Summary**:
The Data Analyst is an exciting opportunity in our Predictive Analytic and Optimisation team based at our Perth CBD Offices.

The purpose of the role is to create insights through extracting, organising and automating the provisioning of large sets of data, and building analytic tools and solutions, for implementation across the Customer business unit.

**Key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Plan and drive all stages of the development of data science and analytics solutions with moderate supervision.
- Investigate the described problem or objective and dataset to assess the usefulness of data science and analytics solutions.
- Select, acquire and integrate data for analysis. Develop data hypotheses and methods and evaluate analytics models. Advise on the effectiveness of specific techniques based on project findings and comprehensive research.
- Develop and analyse customer and market research to optimise existing Synergy retail products and services and identify new Synergy retail product development and service or process enhancement opportunities.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Tertiary qualifications in information systems, data science, computer science, engineering, operations research, business, economics, or related field
- Demonstrated applied delivery of quantitative business problem analysis, operations research, decision optimization.
- Strong Python / R and SQL skills
- Effective stakeholders and partner management
- Experience in WA energy, renewable energy or other utilities would be highly regarded.
