**Executive Manager Operational Risk & Compliance, Group Support Units**

**Do work that matters**:
Risk Management (RM) is responsible for developing the risk frameworks to allow the Group to take conscious exposures to credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks within the approved appetite.

The Operational Risk & Compliance - Group Support Units team provides independent review and challenge of Operational Risk and Compliance activity within the Support Unit (SU) businesses (e.g. Financial Services, Group Corporate Affairs, Risk Management, Legal & Group Secretariat, Group Strategy and Human Resources).

**See yourself in the team**:
As Executive Manager, Operational Risk & Compliance, you will lead and guide Group SU businesses in embedding the Operational and Compliance Risk Management frameworks (ORMF and CRMF). You will engage with senior stakeholders across the SU’s to provide meaningful and balanced insights to risk activity within their business. You will drive advice and assurance activities, working with the SU’s and Line 1, leading a Line 2 team to ensure there is robust implementation, management and oversight of the Group’s risk frameworks.

**More specifically you will**:

- Contribute to the design, implementation and on-going improvement of risk management and compliance frameworks aligned to the Group’s Risk Appetite and Risk Management Strategy;
- Lead and develop a team of risk professionals so that their risk management skills and technical competencies are enhanced;
- Ensuring all operational and compliance risk management activities are focused on providing relevant insights with respect to supporting key business initiatives and key risks;
- Being flexible in adapting the level of detail in work, both verbal and written communication to relevant key stakeholders, including but not limited to NFRC’s, relevant LT’s, Board and Committee papers as required;
- Having a pragmatic approach and a holistic view to ensuring compliance with the ORMF and CRMF while maximising the benefit for the SU’s.

**We're interested in hearing from people who have**:

- Tertiary qualification in risk/finance/quantification field
- Recognised relevant professional certification/accreditation (e.g.: CPA).
- Sound knowledge of Operational and Compliance risk management tools and techniques;
- Experience in managing multiple stakeholders at senior levels of an organisation;
- A demonstrated self-starter with the ability to adapt to changing business requirements;
- Demonstrated experience in monitoring/assurance activities.
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior management.
- Role-model for the CBA values: Care, Courage and Commitment.
