Your new opportunityJoin our team as a Principal Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Consultant and play a key role in leading the development and implementation of HSW management systems and programs. This position offers the opportunity to provide expert advice, manage complex rehabilitation cases, and contribute to strategic planning in work health and safety. Bring your expertise in work, health and safety management systems and strong leadership skills to make a positive impact on Treasury's HSW functions.
**In this role, you will**: - Lead the development and implementation of HSW management systems, structures, processes, and tools. Provide expert advice to all levels of management, including guidance for HSW risk assessment and complex health matters. Develop documentation, including executive briefs, policies, procedures, reports, and staff communications. Support the planning, formulation, development, implementation, and monitoring of WHS management systems and performance standards. Contribute to strategic planning in line with organisational goals related to workplace and worker health and safety. Develop and maintain positive relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
**What experience you will bring**: - In-depth knowledge of legislative requirements within a HR context, including workplace health and safety and workplace well-being. Experience in contributing to strategic HSW/human resources programs and projects in a dynamic environment. Demonstrated experience in case management of illness and injury matters, rehabilitation, and return-to-work programs. Strong ability to work independently, take initiative, and explore new ideas. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication style to various stakeholders.
There are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, relevant qualifications in human resources or related discipline would be highly regarded.
The possession (either current or previous) of either of the following would be advantageous: - Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator Certification
- Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety
