About the role
This role provides support to the Principal Health and Injury Management Specialist in providing leadership in the area of health, rehabilitation, injury management and return to work services across West Moreton Health (WMH) including WorkCover and QSuper claims management.
In partnership with the Work Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner (Safety and Injury Prevention), this role will lead the implementation, review and reporting on work safety and wellbeing (primarily workplace rehabilitation and return to work) responses, strategies, policies, guidelines and procedures and contribute to the effective development, management and delivery of professional work safety and wellbeing services throughout West Moreton.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of health and injury management services, including developing and reviewing policies, systems, processes, and effective management and monitoring of workers' compensation and workplace rehabilitation programs and services within a large diverse organisation.
- Proven capacity to assist in the implementation of health and injury management initiatives including coaching and developing capability of staff, managers and supervisors by fostering a performance based and client focused work culture.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with a capacity to prioritise competing demands and achieve results within a client focused approach.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, analytical, communication and negotiation skills, evidenced by the ability to engage, consult and collaborate, facilitate work groups, work in a multidisciplinary environment and maintaining effective working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in workplace health and safety auditing, investigation, problem solving and identification of risks and causative factors leading to flexible, responsive, client focused solutions related to health and injury management issues

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
