**In this role you will**:

- Manage complex workers compensation cases and non-work related injured/ill employees including the coordination of rehabilitation and return to work plans and recommendations for ill health retirement.
- Design, implement and monitor psychological safety and wellbeing initiatives.
- Provide advice to senior managers, managers and employees about HSW management.
- Design, implement and monitor compliance with the safety management system for Legal Aid Queensland.
- Develop, maintain and implement policies and procedures about HSW.
- Identify HSW emerging issues and make recommendations for enhancements to practices.
- Contribute to risk management including input to the Legal Aid Queensland risk register.
- Coordinate the network of representatives and regional work, health and safety (WHS) contacts.
- Coordinate the WHS Committee including preparation of agendas and minutes.
- Manage the incident reporting system and contribute to the preparation and analysis of HSW data. Also manage enhancements to the incident reporting system.
- Coordinate annual audits and inspections and ensure action is taken to resolve identified hazards and issues.
- Deliver information sessions on HSW processes, coordinate training and maintain content in relevant elearning modules.
- Prepare briefing notes and other documentation relating to rehabilitation/injury management and HSW.
- Manage the state-wide fleet of portable duress alarms.
- Manage requests for ergonomic assessments and ergonomic equipment.
- Contribute to team planning and comply with corporate responsibilities.
- Model the values of respect, quality and accountability.
