The Security and Loss Prevention Specialist is a dynamic role within Amazon's Loss Prevention (LP) team that combines analytical expertise with hands-on security management. If you're passionate about data driven security solutions and want to make a meaningful impact in a fast paced environment, this position offers an exciting opportunity. This specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing site security through comprehensive performance tracking, investigative support, and strategic analysis of key metrics. The role focuses on implementing security best practices, conducting investigations, and managing security operations while maintaining strong partnerships with stakeholders. You'll have the opportunity to shape security strategies and drive continuous improvement through data analysis and innovative solutions. Working under the guidance of the Loss Prevention Manager, you'll contribute to protecting Amazon's most valuable assets. Key job responsibilities - Enhance, track, and report on metrics which are key performance indicators, allowing performance improvements in areas including shrink/loss, HRV, and Workplace Incident Management (WIM) rates. - Assisting with investigations of internal and external theft and fraud and conducting interviews when appropriate in partnership with PXT and agencies. - Assist with oversight of the security guarding team including working with account managers to improve on key metrics and standards within the security guarding space. - Identify, promote and implement security best practices across the site in conjunction with network SLP, and site stakeholders. - Act as a security SME for stakeholders keeping them informed of key issues, strategies and the overall site SLP performance. - Effectively partner with internal customers in evaluating current and future security services, processes and initiatives. - Conducting analysis of data to generate strategic and tactical interpretations.
- Advanced Diploma/Associate Degree/Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and/or Physical Security Professional (PSP) qualified.
- Experience in conducting Investigations (Fraud/Theft, etc.).
- Certification in formal investigation procedures (Wicklander-Zulawski or P.E.A.C.E.).
- Basic understanding of support business processes (Procurement/Finance/HR/Legal/etc)
- Familiarity with databases (for querying and analysing), such as SQL, Access, etc.,
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma concepts desirable.
- Analytical experience in a performance-based, results-oriented setting.
- Experience in Business Continuity Management and basic Crisis Management.
