**What you need to know**
- This role is Permanent, Full-time, 76hrs/fortnight.
- The shift times required to work will be spread between 6:00am to 10:00pm, weekdays and alternating weekends.
- If you are successful for this role, you will be required to obtain a Security License and First Aid & CPR Certifications.
**About this work area**
As Safety & Security Specialist your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Protecting IKEA co-workers, visitors and assets from preventable loss, injury, or illness within the unit to support the IKEA objectives.
- Ability to respond responsibly in emergency and critical situations and ensure that decisive action is taken to ensure safety of all IKEA co-workers and visitors.
- Being a valued business partner who drives for sustainable solutions and improvement in the Distribution Centre (DC/CDC) without jeopardising the desired level of IKEA safety and security.
- Conduct safety-related training for internal and external co-workers and contractors to foster a culture of security awareness and adherence to protocols.
- Accountable for investigating internal and external incidents and recommending the resolution and revision of routines when necessary.
- Complete incident reporting and logging into Incident Management tool, monthly analyses of incident trends, reports to management and departments of trends and investigation into the cause of trends.
- Ensuring compliance with the IKEA Group Risk Manual, IKEA rules and guidelines, and national and local legal requirements.
As a Safety & Security Specialist you are or have:
- Passionate about the IKEA Culture & Values and enjoying the opportunity to promote a safety-first mindset within the Distribution Centre (CD/CDC).
- Ability to ensure the integrity of safety and security systems, guidelines and documentation.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams and with external partners.
- A high standard of IT literacy, including experience with data handling and reporting.
- Equipped with a high level of organisational skills and can adhere to processes to meet deadlines.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills including the ability to translate technical information to cater to all audiences.
- A valid Security license and First Aid & CPR certifications, or the willingness and ability to obtain them.
