**About Your Role: Category Team Lead**

This role will lead a broad range of procurement activities, including indirect spent as well as Engineering Services and COTS hardware and software. You will lead a team of high performing Category Managers and Buyers and will be accountable for the end to end performance of the acquisition process. This is a highly valued and strategic role that will liaise with Global Segment Director and the Procurement Director of the Region.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**- **Ensure the category strategies are in line with the business needs and well communicated internally**
- **Provide insights as to how products / projects could be more competitive via the adoption of different suppliers / methodologies / technologies, etc.**
- **Ensure appropriate procurement governance is followed using KPIs**
- **Develop and upskill the team**
- **Monitor the performance of the supply base in line with the Global Category Manager’s objectives**
- **Ensure that specific the supplier contracts are in line with the local legal and governmental regulations**
- **Manage supplier risks and implement corrective action plan accordingly**
**Essential Qualifications and Skills;**
- **10+ years of experience in Procurement or strategic sourcing in a technology environment, including +5 years in a senior role**
- **Professional qualification (CIPS, EIPM, ISM etc.)**
- **Experience with cross functional teams in a Procurement Bids and/or Project role.**
- **Experience in delivery of complex supplier solutions.**
- **Experience in the Supplier relationship Management**
- **Experience in negotiating and managing contract spends of up to $10M**
- **Supply Chain experience in an international context**
- **Working knowledge of financial tools and techniques**
- **Make vs. Buy methodology and Risk Management skills**

**Highly Desirable Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Engineering/Technical degree, Project Management qualifications or equivalent**
- **Tertiary qualifications in international Business, Management or Logistics**
