In Australia, The Body Shop, is seeking a proactive and commercially driven Accounts Payable Analyst In this pivotal role, you'll help us reintegrate our accounts payable function into our local operations, currently managed by our global HQ in the UK. Bring your expertise and initiative to drive efficiency and support our mission for sustainability and ethical practices.

**Accounts Payable Analyst**
- Process invoices and ensure timely payment to vendors and suppliers.
- Verify accuracy of invoices, purchase orders, and payment terms.
- Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Prepare weekly payment files
- Liaise with management team to get approval for payments
- Support updates to vendor Master Data

**Month end and variance analysis**
- Assist with month-end closing processes, including preparing accounts payable related reports and journals.
- Ensure monthly reporting deadlines set by the Group (Global and APAC) are being fulfilled.

**Audit, compliance and business excellence**
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Liaise with key global stakeholders to ensure information is shared between all parties
- Optimise the costs and efficacy of actions undertaken in accordance with Internal Control Standards and good practices
- Propose and implement all initiatives in systems and process improvement to ensure data integrity, advanced analytics to improve productivity

**TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar role, dealing with business units and systems changes.
- Strong experience with major ERP package and Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Motivated, pro-active with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Ability to work effectively to deadlines and support others to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, problem solve and prioritize with a passion to succeed
