**Medical Receptionist - Surgical Specialist Practice (Chatswood & Newtown)**

**Chatswood & Newtown** | **$26-$33/hr + casual loading + super** | **Immediate Start**

We are looking for a **friendly, detail-oriented, and adaptable career Medical Receptionist** to join our **busy surgical specialist (non-GP) practice**. If you have a great **phone manner, strong multitasking skills, and a passion for patient care**, we’d love to hear from you

**About the Role**

This is a **split position** between our two locations:

- **Chatswood ENT** - less than 200m from the Chatswood Interchange
- **Newtown ENT** - near Royal Prince Alfred Hospital

You will be a **casual employee of both companies**, with the potential for the role to expand over time. Shifts range from **8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (varied start times)** on weekdays only—**no nights or weekends**

Please note that your flexible availability and capacity to provide cover for other staff and grow with this position, is key to this role. If you are already committed on set days elsewhere, this role may not be suitable for you.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Patient Support**: Greet patients, check them in/out, and ensure a smooth experience
- **Phone & Appointment Management**: Answer calls, book, and arrange patient appointments
- **Billing & Claims**: Handle payments, Medicare/DVA/ADF/workers’ compensation claims
- **Clinic Preparation**: Assist with reception duties, support doctors, and manage daily tasks

**What We’re Looking For**
- **Attention to detail** - Accuracy in admin and patient care is essential
- **Strong computer skills** - Fast, efficient, and adaptable to new systems
- **Excellent English skills** - Clear communication, both written and spoken
- **Friendly & professional personality** - A positive attitude and a passion for patient care
- **Multitasking & flexibility** - Ability to handle a busy environment and cover shifts as needed

**Bonus Skills (Preferred but Not Required)**
- Prior experience in **medical reception, GP clinics, allied health, dental, or call centers**:

- Ability to accept and give **constructive feedback** to improve patient experience
- Enthusiasm for **teamwork and collaboration**:

- Strong **customer service skills**
