**Our client**

Numbers Executive is currently supporting a prominent global infrastructure and energy fund with its search to appoint an Investment Associate to its team in Melbourne. With a long-standing leadership team and significant funds under management, this is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly active and successful investment platform.

**The opportunity**

The Infrastructure and Energy Investment team is involved in the acquisition and management of core infrastructure and energy transition assets offering a steady, low risk return to their institutional investor base.

As an Associate within the team, you will be actively involved in the sourcing, evaluation and acquisition of new investments, in addition to the ongoing monitoring of the existing asset portfolio. Working in small teams, the Associate will work collaboratively with the Analyst pool, to nurture and develop technical skills while ensuring timely and accurate outputs.

Day to day, key responsibilities will include:

- Developing, interrogating and stress testing complex infrastructure financial models in order to drive key financial and investment decisions
- Assist with transaction due diligence and execution, including leading workstreams
- Leading market and sector research, sharing key insights and developments
- Reviewing operational forecasts, undertaking periodic valuations, as well as supporting the asset team on refinancing and capital investment decisions

**Required skills & experience**

The Associate will possess excellent financial modelling and analysis skills and will be required to utilise their strong written and verbal communication skills to interpret and summarise board-level activities and present this data in an effective, concise manner to senior stakeholders.

Interpersonally, the Associate will demonstrate the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels and be looking for an opportunity to share knowledge and help shape the future development of more junior team members.
