**We are seeking an experienced Administration Officer to provide high-level administrative support within the Division of Research and Innovation to support the Australian Defence Technologies Academy (ADTA). This role offers a unique opportunity to work with senior leaders and contribute to impactful projects in a fast-paced environment.**

The Administration Officer plays a pivotal role in supporting senior executives within the Division of Research and Innovation, ensuring seamless operations through expert administrative support. From managing complex diaries and coordinating high-level meetings to handling office administration with precision, this role is at the heart of a dynamic and fast-paced environment, enabling the team to drive impactful research initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide executive support, including diary management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and correspondence handling.
- Prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items for committees and senior leadership meetings.
- Assist with event logistics, including professional development activities, training sessions, and international delegations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support divisional operations.
- Ensure the seamless operation of office functions, including procurement, financial administration, and compliance with policies.
- Support research strategy and planning by gathering and organising relevant information.

**To be successful you will need**:

- High level organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage confidential or sensitive material against competing deadlines.
- Ability to exercise judgement and use initiative to provide effective problem-solving solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated competence in the use of computer software and general administrative equipment.
- Demonstrated experience supporting events, project coordination and training programs.
- Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.

**Qualification/s**:

- A degree without subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

**Special Conditions**:

- Australian Citizen - You must be an Australian Citizen, eligible and willing to hold a Security Clearance.
