**About the Role**

The Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for assisting with Development Victoria’s day-to-day information security. You will have the opportunity to influence and ensure information assets are appropriately protected making sure they are confidential, have integrity and are highly available, and that information owners are kept informed of increasing cyber security threats.
- Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, your key accountabilities will include:

- Collaborate and build relationships with key business partners for continued security education and awareness.
- Ensure compliance in line with industry standards such as The Victorian Protective Data Security Standards (VPDSS).
- Pro-actively increase information, data integrity and security whilst maintaining fluidity, collaboration and efficiency whilst providing regular reporting and metrics
- Continuously update the information systems management standard to endure the policies and procedures in place reflect current state of the environment.
- Continuously update company’s incident response plan and disaster recovery policies and procedures.
- Work with the Infrastructure Manager to perform tests and uncover vulnerabilities.
- Generate audit reports and assist with the review process for IT and business managers to evaluate the efficacy of the security policies in place.
- Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management to fine tune logical controls. Includes staying up to date on information technology trends and security standards.
- Build and generate cyber security training campaigns and simulation exercises to promote and create cyber security awareness across the organisation.
- Establish vendor management relationships for support and troubleshooting requirements.
- Liaise with vendors to implement security and control solutions
- Maintain and document information asset register to reflect the current state of information assets and the associated sensitivity.

**About You**

**Knowledge, skills and experience;**
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- Detail-oriented and have an analytical mindset.
- Strong written, oral and presentation skills.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in a Cyber Security role
- Ability to design, implement and upgrade security measures, frameworks and controls.
- Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.
- Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques.
- You will have in-depth knowledge in XDR (Crowdstrike Suite), Content Filtering/Private Access Network (ZScaler), Firewalls (Fortigate), Event Management (SIEM)
