Publisher’s Internationalé based in North Sydney is recruiting a Sales & Marketing Manager.
This is a newly created role within an established global media agency. Reporting to our Business Director and working alongside Client Services this role will lead our business development strategy and support our existing partnerships across major brands. Pave the way in streamlining efforts to ensure that we strategically scale up the AUS market. Leading a team of 3, you’ll form part of the leadership team including the CEO.
We bring the old and new world of media together, coupled with intelligent thinking and market-leading intelligent data and systems. We have created a new frontier in media solutions that enable us to bring creative, media, data, business, and technological knowledge to our client’s briefs applied alongside robust planning and optimisation.
Work across all major broad categories in Australia and globally.

About the role:
Firstly, you’ll develop business development/sales, with a focus on expanding our AUS market. The primary objective is to leverage our existing channels.
You’ll then execute our annual strategy, contributing to exceeding our budget and customer target goals.
Meanwhile, you’ll build the Sales Team needed to deliver the annual goals and ensure its relationship with the global team is strong and mutually beneficial.
You’ll inform this work by partnering with our Marketing Insights team to deepen your understanding of the AUS market and customers, their behaviours, desires and needs, becoming the internal expert and advisor.
In this role, you’ll celebrate success; steady the ship in challenging times and win the hearts and minds of clients and the team to achieve goals. You’ll be an entrepreneurial thinker, key decision-maker, and problem solver - and as such, trusted by all to act for the greater good of the agency in line with our values of passion, integrity and delivery.
You will be a strategic advisor to clients and a thought leader in the media industry.
You’ll work with the team and support them in delivering on their objectives. You’ll make resourcing decisions, and be actively involved in staff recruitment, making sure we’re bringing the right people into the business.
While taking ultimate responsibility for achieving targets across the sales portfolio, you’ll also be empowered to contribute on a broader organisational level. You’ll get to participate in the annual global forum held overseas, which helps shape global company strategy, as well as sitting on the local leadership team to drive the direction, culture and success of the agency in Australia.
In this role you’ll act as an enabler, knowing when to step forward to support your team and clients - and when to take a step back to allow your team to shine.
What you’ll need to be successful;
A strong acumen and interest in new business development, leadership and media sales strategy. Including:
- Define the tactical plan and outcomes for sales
- Oversee the outbound sales activity of the Account Management team
- Drive outbound sales activity of your own, as a leader of key clients and key agencies
- Ability and confidence to create presentations and pitch to senior-level stakeholders
- An in-depth understanding of the market and a strategic approach to working with clients to find a solution to their marketing objective
- Maintain accurate and timely sales information management, using the company’s CRM system, oversee and manage that others on your team do the same
- Represent and promote Publisher’s Internationalé with the utmost level of integrity, both internally and externally, at all times
- Proficient in digital media mediums.
- Knowledge of google, programmatic media and social media is an absolute must
- Product and pricing strategy across all forms of digital advertising platforms
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Be self-motivated, ambitious and have the ability to inspire that in others
Desirable
- 5+ years experience in Sales and sales management (ideally in a GSM role or sales management role previously or trained to this level and looking for your next opportunity)
- Work experience in media and/ or marketing in Australia or overseas
- Graduate+ qualified preferred
- Multicultural experience preferred
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: Up to $132,000.00 per year
