**About the role**

Our Early Childhood Approach Access and Engagement Team provides a first point of contact for parents and carers of children 0-6 with developmental delay and 0-9 with disability and our stakeholders in the community. The team is responsible for connecting families with the best supports to meet their needs while promoting positive long-term outcomes for the whole community.

You will lead a transdisciplinary team of Allied Health Professionals and Early Childhood Teachers who support children aged 0-6 years experiencing developmental delays, and their families, to access the Early Childhood Approach. Your team works with families to determine the most suitable pathway under the Early Childhood Approach and provides short-term, evidence-based intervention for children who are experiencing mild - moderate developmental delays.

**Duties**
- Lead by providing clear, fair and focused leadership, professional supervision and practice support.
- Work with the leadership team to ensure services are effective, sustainable, evidence based, culturally appropriate and support children and families to live their best life in line with our obligations under the NDIA legislation.
- Work collaboratively to promote family and community relationships and demystify the NDIS process.

**Skills and Experience**
- Relevant degree qualification in Early Childhood Education.
- Solid experience leading a team providing family-centered services.
- Sound knowledge of evidence-based practice in early intervention and experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to use novel strategies to engage children and families to achieve outcomes.
- People leadership experience with the ability to build and develop an engaged, high performing team.
- Strong management skills including troubleshooting, managing multiple priorities and conflict resolution.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to successfully influence and engage a range of stakeholders.
