The Role
The Executive Manager, Brand and Marketing will lead the Brand and Marketing Team as well as develop and execute the related brand, internal and external communications, public relations, event management, social media and advertising activity.
Working collaboratively with key leaders across the Fund, this role will use data-driven insights and alignment to the business strategy, to develop and deliver the brand, marketing and communications strategy, its delivery plan, and the reporting against relevant measures of success.
This newly created position will also review existing arrangements for the related services, and as part of the development of the strategy, will assess the current internal and external resources and budget with a view to optimising existing arrangements.
**Key focus areas include**:
**Campaign Management**: Develop, implement, and manage marketing campaigns to promote NGS Super’s products and services and achieve objectives outlined in the Fund’s Strategy and Business Plan.
**Social Media**: Create and manage content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc., to engage with current and prospective members and enhance our online presence.
**Member Engagement**: Work closely with leaders from the Growth and Advice & Education business units to develop and support tactical initiatives which support the Fund’s strategic objectives. Support member engagement activities through targeted communication and other activities designed for both retention and acquisition purposes.
**Communications**: Oversee the development and delivery of communication plans for all internal and external stakeholders across NGS channels.
**Leadership**: Provide strategic leadership by guiding and mentoring the Experience team, driving performance, fostering innovation, and ensuring alignment with the Fund’s strategic objectives.
**Brand**: Be the Brand champion and ensure consistency of Brand across NGS including developing and implementing brand guidelines and other collateral.
**Decision making**: Utilise data analysis and business intelligence tools to guide decision making and problem-solving.
**Board and Senior Leadership Reporting**: Prepare and present comprehensive marketing performance reports, insights, and strategic recommendations to the Board and senior leadership, ensuring clear communication of key metrics and business impact.
**Project Management**: Oversee and manage marketing projects and initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with Fund’s strategic goals, timelines, and budget, while coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholder.
**Analytics**: Monitor and analyse the performance of marketing and communication activities using tools such as Google Analytics, and prepare reports to track progress and effectiveness for both the Executive Team and Board.
**Event Coordination**: Assist in planning and executing marketing events, trade shows, and promotional activities.
You have
Qualifications at an appropriate level in a relevant discipline (e.g., MBA, B. Mkg) and expert technical knowledge in Brand, Marketing and Communications.
10 years plus experience in a marketing role within financial services.
Track record of effective customer delivery including methods to retain and grow member and employers with performance tracking against the measures of success.
Demonstrable experience of integrated marketing technologies and services.
Strong member focus, gained in a competitive marketplace.
Strong written and oral communications skills, with a confident and professional manner.
Demonstrated experience leveraging data analysis and business intelligence tools to drive strategic and operational objectives.
Lateral and forward-thinking strategist with commercial acumen prepared to challenge industry norms.
Commitment to maintaining a current knowledge of new initiatives in respect of customer engagement within the finance/ superannuation and/or related sectors.
Highly developed written and spoken communication and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated commitment to achieving the needs of customers (members and employers).
Experience in leading, managing and developing a team, with a particular focus on a high performing innovative culture.
Proven ability to plan, forecast and manage a budget as well as have a strong sense of accountability.
Proven strategy development.
Experience in managing outsourced provider relationships.
