Our client is one of the most well regarded and respected businesses in the Australian drinks industry. They are currently in an exciting phase with the acquisition of a new business and the further enhancement of their own brands.

The Brand Manager will report to the Senior Marketing Manager and be pivotal in expanding the portfolio of Australian Whisky and spirits in both Australian and overseas markets.

You will be a creative thinker with a challenger mindset, and will be charged with leading brand growth via paid owned and earned channels to achieve both brand health metrics & direct to consumer online sales KPIs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and own the annual brand plan for the AU domestic market
- Work with the Marketing Manager to develop PR strategy and own the development of the PR plan and rollout
- Work closely with internal digital and agency teams on social /digital strategy, planning & campaign management to achieve brand health metrics & online sales KPIs
- Lead the coordination of trade and consumer tasting / sampling campaigns
- Work with Brand Ambassador to oversee the experiential on premise trade and consumer event management
- Liaise with Brand Home / distillery team to develop visitation strategy and execution plan
- Key contact with trade partners, distributors (AU & global) to execute annual market plans
- Liaise with internal production marketing and commercial teams to develop and roll out NPD launch plans

**Requirements**:

- Minimum university educated (to bachelor’s level) in marketing related field.
- Minimum 3-4 years in marketing/brand assistant role, or currently Brand Manager level
- Experience in FMCG industry / alcohol ideally spirits or wine
- Track record of driving brand growth via Paid, Owned and Earned channels (inc social, digital PR/ Influencer / partnerships)
- Exposure to E-com, direct to consumer sales and marketing and CRM
- Sound commercial acumen, with a solid understanding of P&L management
- A passion for Australian craft spirits, ideally whisky

This is a genuine hands on, end to end role where you will have lots of autonomy, opportunities to be creative all whilst having exposure across multiple areas of the business giving you a new depth of marketing and commercial experience.
