**The Role**
Aviation C4ISREW & Training Support Systems (ACTSS) is seeking a Contract Management Officer to work as part of a highly motivated team to deliver moderate to complex procurement and contracting solutions within an integrated workforce, with the focus on procurement. In this role, they are accountable to ensure they conduct procurement that is compliant with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Accountable to plan and obtain quotes from suppliers and assess value for money to obtain delegate approval and finalise the approved procurement activities.
- Coordinate procurement activities, determine work priorities and responsibilities, carry out analysis of relevant information and ensure all documentation and reporting is completed.
- Liaise with supervisors, staff and stakeholders and respond to moderately complex inquiries.
- Assist in contract management and administration.
- Provide commercial advice and interpretation in accordance with the commercial policy and procedures.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. **About our Team**
The Army Aviation Systems Branch (AASB) purpose is to deliver military aviation systems to the capability managers. AASB is responsible for the acquisition and through-life support of all Army helicopters and tactical unmanned aerial systems through both Project Offices (PO) and Systems Program Offices (SPO) within Australia and overseas.
Utility Helicopter Systems Program Office (UHSPO) is responsible for the sustainment of the Australian Army's UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters. UHSPO also comprises of Aviation C4ISREW & Training Support Systems (ACTSS) who support various Army training systems and a segment of Army’s Command, Control, Communication and Computers network. As a member of ACTSS, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of a sustainment organisation that will meet the strategic needs of the Australian Army, whilst also gaining valuable experience and professional development in a dynamic, inclusive and collaborative environment.
