**The Role**

If so, a role within the Black Hawk Systems Program Office could be the right opportunity for you. Within the Commercial function, as an APS 6 Contract Management Officer you will be accountable under broad direction to deliver procurement and contract management outcomes within an integrated workforce. You will be required to understand and exercise discernment when interpreting policy and the Australian Army’s operational and product management requirements. You will provide commercial, financial and policy advice in relation to contract management, strategic planning and product management.
You will have the opportunity to lead a small team and be accountable to set work priorities and strengthen the quality of team outcomes. You will have considerable communication with stakeholders and will be required to identify, anticipate and respond to their needs and expectations to achieve work unit and broader Army and Defence objectives.

The additional payment is a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP) which enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the rate of salary otherwise payable under the Enterprise Agreement (EA) to some or all of the jobs within a critical occupation(s) or discipline within a workplace. Applicants engaged into a BDCP position must consider the following. BDCPs provide remuneration in addition to the Defence Enterprise Agreement (EA).
**About our Team**
The Army Aviation Systems Branch (AASB) purpose is to deliver military aviation systems to the capability managers. AASB is responsible for the acquisition and through-life support of all Army helicopters and tactical unmanned aerial systems through both Project Offices (PO) and Systems Program Offices (SPO) within Australia and overseas.
