Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Procurement & Contracts Officer on a contract for 12 months with potential extension.
**Position Overview**
The APS6 Procurement Officer (Labour Hire) is a team membership position that may be required to perform work that involves team leadership and management responsibilities requiring the setting of priorities and managing workflows of a team.
The APS6 Procurement Officer (Labour Hire) is required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. Where required, the role will coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the NDIA's objectives to "build a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme".
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Working collaboratively with NDIA business areas as a procurement business partner to establish appropriate procurement methodologies, preparing a range of procurement documentation, evaluating tenders and negotiating contracts.
- Managing and undertaking procurement reporting and verification activities, and processing procurements through the financial management system.
- Maintaining and implementing procurement and contract management policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Contributing to procurement planning activities within the wider Procurement Team and across the Agency.
- Providing specialist procurement advice and ensuring NDIA procurement activities are conducted in line with legislative requirements, the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and the NDIA Procurement Policy to deliver value for money outcomes that contribute to better social and economic outcomes for people with disability.
- Providing quality and timely advice to internal and external stakeholders, including guidance and reporting to the Branch Leadership, and the Executive Leadership Team.
- Monitoring and progressing work area activities to achieve work area objectives, ensuring consistent and high-quality outputs and maintaining team cohesion.
