**The team perform a range of services including**:
- developing, organising and delivering parliamentary education seminars, workshops, professional development and youth parliaments for educators, school students, university students, public servants, Members and their staff, and other client groups
- developing, organising and delivering educational outreach programs for regional Queenslanders
- developing and maintaining educational and information resources for use in educational institutions and by the wider community
- providing advice and education on Indigenous protocols.
The Education and Liaison team consists of three full-time equivalent staff and one part-time staff member. While officers within the unit have specific roles, working in a small team requires a flexible approach to achieving outcomes. There are up 1.6 (FTE) positions available for this role. Full-time and part-time working arrangements can be considered.
**You would be required to**:
- Develop and deliver innovative parliamentary education and training programs and resources for students, teachers and the community which contribute to raising awareness of and participation in Queensland's system of democracy.
- Develop and deliver parliamentary education and training programs for public sector officers, Members of Parliament and staff to enhance their understanding and knowledge of the role of the Parliament and the Executive in the process of public administration.
- Deliver Youth Parliament programs.
- Liaise on matters relating to parliamentary education and training issues with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders including Ministers, Members of Parliament, educators, senior government officials, community organisations including CALD groups.
- Regularly review and update parliamentary education programs to maximise their effectiveness.
- Participate in, or lead, other Chamber and Education Services activities as directed.
