**Home Education Unit**:
The Home Education Unit is a business unit in the Registration Services branch, responsible for conducting administrative and regulatory tasks related to the registration of children for home education. The primary purpose of the Administration Officer - Home Education Unit is to provide administrative, human and financial services to support the activities of the Home Education Unit in the delivery of high-quality client services. The Administration officer will work collegially to deliver administrative and corporate support functions across the Unit. The Administration Officer, Home Education Unit, reports through the Manager, Home Education Unit to the Executive Director, Registration Services (International, Non-State and Home Education) within Policy, Performance, International and Intergovernmental Division.
About the Role
The Administration Officer will be accountable for and lead duties associated with the role that includes:
- Perform a variety of administrative or support services as directed by the Manager and Assistant Manager including human resources and financial functions.
- Examine, prioritise and register incoming correspondence and manage general outgoing correspondence.
- Assist with the maintenance of accurate record systems and databases to support the Home Education Unit including collation and recording of data.
- Manage and maintain office equipment.
- Act as the first point of contact for enquiries from internal and external stakeholders and identify and respond to stakeholders' needs.
