**Mission and Scope**

KBR are looking for a motivated and experienced **Procurement Officer** to join their team, supporting the acquisition and sustainment of communications related assets and inventory. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your procurement expertise will directly contribute to capability development and sustainment outcomes.

As part of a collaborative procurement team, you’ll help manage a diverse portfolio of procurement activities, servicing both internal and external stakeholders. The team operates through a mix of standing offers and open market engagements, ensuring the timely and effective delivery of critical capabilities.

In this role, you’ll work closely with colleagues to identify and respond to procurement needs, and will be responsible for supporting and delivering complex to very complex procurement tasks under the guidance of a Procurement Manager.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist with preparing and reviewing procurement documentation, including approvals, quotes, and cost models.
- Manage end to end procurement processes using Defence systems
- Provide advice on procurement planning, tendering, and contract formation, ensuring compliance.
- Support performance tracking and reporting for procurement and contract activities.
- Liaise and negotiate with stakeholders, resolving issues and identifying solutions proactively.

**Experience & Qualifications**:

- Demonstrated experience in Commonwealth procurement, finance, or commercial processes.
- Familiarity with Defence Logistics Information Systems and ERP platforms (e.g. SAP).
- Strong understanding of procurement legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end procurement activities and documentation.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in resolving procurement issues.

Due to the nature of Defence work, applicants must be Australian citizens and hold an active NV1 security clearance.
