**The Role**
Reporting to the Assistant Director(s) of the Data Strategy, Platforms and Access (DSPA) team, the role of project officer will be responsible for assisting with activities to improve and standardise how the NSC undertakes its data work. This includes how we obtain/manage/analyse data, as well as upskilling and promoting cultural change across the staff of the NSC. This work will involve engaging across the NSC and a range of stakeholders.

The DSPA team is responsible for developing and implementing the NSC’s Data Strategy and current team members have a wide mix of capabilities across governance, commercial, IT, technical and data functions.

The NSC is a national organisation and with staff based across the country. The DSPA team is spread across four cities and we actively use hybrid working arrangements in our team and take advantage of flexible working arrangements including working from home on a regular basis.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of the APS Level 6 may include:

- Provide project management support for various work packages in the Data Strategy
- Coordinate the planning, management, and delivery of Data Strategy activities
- Develop project management documentation and track activities
- Coordination of requests for assistance across the NSC
- Provide ongoing maintenance of the NSC’s Data Register
- Assist with data sharing and access agreements
- Assist with implementation of training and cultural initiatives relating to data maturity across the NSC
- Assist with roll out of data governance standards and processes across the NSC
- Assist with the management of legal and governance risks
- Liaise with technical service providers and external data providers to support the NSC data analytics platform
- Other duties as required, commensurate with this classification level, and other duties that are reasonably directed.
