This is an identified position open only to applicants of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, in accordance with relevant anti-discrimination legislation.
As the Indigenous Future Student Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating a wide range of programs that engage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, schools, and communities. Your work will focus on raising aspirations, strengthening access to university, and supporting a culturally empowering transition into higher education.
You will lead school and community engagement activities, both on-campus and through outreach, while supporting the delivery of UOW’s Indigenous Admissions Program. Working closely with the Future Student and Student Success teams at the Woolyungah Indigenous Centre (WIC), you’ll help shape communication strategies, build relationships with key stakeholders, run recruitment events, and create content that promotes student engagement.
A key part of the role includes mentoring a team of Indigenous Student Ambassadors, overseeing their recruitment, training, and coordination to ensure successful program delivery throughout the year.
