Industrial Designer

**About the Role**

Work as a Senior Designer in a creative and industrial design team to deliver creative and functional packaging and POS, on brand and delivered to brand guidelines.

**Role and Responsibilities**

- Products: mock ups and visualisation
- Setting the agenda for the design team, with a focus on prioritisation of workflow to ensure client deadlines are met.
- Working directly with suppliers locally and in China to develop prototypes and samples.
- Development of product specification documents to facilitate the efficient hand over to production once client approval of the samples is obtained.
- Leading the knowledge and resource development of the company across new materials, production techniques.
- Enhancing our sustainability credentials through understanding sustainable materials and production, then implementing those into the design brief but also more broadly into the DNA of the company across functions.
- Contributing to the senior team and business through process development, refinement and enhancement.
- Managing the design team to ensure personal and professional development where the team achieved personal KPIs and team KPIs.

**Preferred Skills**
- 3 - 5 Years as a Senior Designer
- CAD/Solidworks, 3D Studio Max, Adobe Suite, Powerpoint
- Dealing with suppliers including China
- Be able to demonstrate leading key/major projects across creative design, industrial design and project management.

We are looking for a driven, ambitious self-starter. While a strong support network is available, the Senior Designer will be expected to work on their own initiative and delegating responsibilities to the rest of the team.

Relevant sector/industry experience will be highly regarded, as this role is expected to hit the ground running. A diligent, responsive and professional attitude is key - with a ‘customer first’ mindset. The Senior Designer should act as consultant to other team members, in order to develop What To Do as a trusted long-term partner.

**Salary range**

Depending on experience, we are offering a salary range of $90,000- 110,000 + super.

**Salary**: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
