**About us**
The Member for the Electorate of Castle Hill, Mr Mark Hodges, MP, is seeking a staff member to join his Electorate Office team. The Castle Hill Electorate Office is the point of contact for constituents and local community groups to engage with the Member for Castle Hill regarding state government services and responsibilities.

**About the position**
As an Electorate Officer you will join our small team to provide support to Mr Hodges, MP, and his engagement with the community. This role may require some after hours and weekend work, for which an all incidence of employment allowance is paid.

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate a strong understanding of the NSW Government. Exceptional digital communication and writing skills, the ability to prioritise competing tasks, and excellent interpersonal skills are essential to providing quality representation to the constituents of Castle Hill.

You should be self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Adherence to the Code of Conduct for Members’ Staff and maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of the role are mandatory.

Local knowledge is desirable but not essential.

**Selection Criteria**

- Excellent writing skills including the ability to prepare correspondence, briefing notes, submissions, speeches, newsletters and media releases.
- Demonstrated superior organisational skills to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated capacity to exercise sound judgement and ability to perform at a high standard under limited supervision and within a team environment.
- Good word processing/keyboard and computer skills in an office environment and experience in use of social media, databases, websites and digital communication tools.
