Maxima, in conjunction with the Rural City of Murray Bridge, are seeking a passionate individual who loves being out in nature to kick-start their career in horticulture.

This 3-year, fulltime traineeship will offer you hands-on industry experience, and all training and PPE provided, all whilst studying towards a nationally recognised **Certificate III in Horticulture.**

Day-to-day you could be working to maintain council community parks and streetscapes, interacting with local residents, or being involved in town horticultural projects. This role is extremely diverse and will see you completing with lifelong skills and knowledge to succeed in any gardening role.

**Culture and Benefits**:

**Duties Include**:

- Garden and grounds maintenance
- Mulch, prune, pot, and water plants
- Use of garden tools and machinery
- Brush cutting and mowing
- Pest and weed control
- Install irrigation pipes and watering systems

S**kills and Knowledge**:

- Enjoy working outdoors and with garden tools
- Be committed, reliable and hardworking
- Manage and prioritise time when working under pressure
- Work effectively in a team and unsupervised
- Good communication skills
- Have a can-do attitude, displaying initiative on the job

**Role Requirements**:

- Provisional or full driver’s licence with own vehicle
- Physically fit and healthy due to manual labour work
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test
- Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or similar trade (desirable)
