Position Overview
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Lifeguards with a passion for Water Safety and Community engagement to join the Murray Bridge Swimming Centre for the 2025–2026 season.
Reporting to the Centre Assistant Manager, this role is responsible for the efficient coordination and safety of pool patrons and user groups, ensuring:
· High-quality customer service
· Supervision and care of patrons
· Provide First aid and Emergency response
· Pool bookings are set up, and a range of hygiene and maintenance activities are in place
A strong focus on work health and safety is essential, ensuring compliance with WH&S legislation and safe work practices.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, your responsibilities include:
· Delivering professional, welcoming customer service.
· Provide supervision of patrons of the swimming center.
· Respond to emergencies as required, providing first aid or initiating other necessary action in the event of injury or illness.
· Undertaking cleaning of various areas and amenities of the Swimming Centre area.
· Advise management of any identified hazards in the work area.
· Undertake in In-House training sessions
· Encouraging responsible behavior such as the observance of signs and respect for the needs of other patrons.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
· Pool lifeguard certificate
· First Aid Certificate with current CPR
· National Police Check
· Working with Children Check
· RRHAN Masterclass or Safe Environment's for Children and Young People -"Through their eyes"
· Ability to work cooperatively as an effective team member and contribute towards team goals.
· Be an advocate for water safety by leading, educating, and setting the example at your community pool.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally across diverse community groups.

The position is offered, in accordance with the Local Government Employees Award and Council's current Enterprise Agreement, at ME Grade 4 with an hourly rate of $ Casual 25% loading subject to Local Government Employees Award conditions. Public holiday penalties apply to these positions. (If Under 21 Junior pay rates apply).
