Maxima, in conjunction with the Rural City of Murray Bridge, are seeking a hands-on individual looking to kick-start their career in Arboriculture.

The Rural City of Murray Bridge is home to the mighty Murray River and covers a wide stretch of land and small towns. Only one hour from the CBD, this council area is tight knit and prides themselves on being a thriving community which is inclusive, innovative, and accountable. If successful, you too could have the opportunity to be a valued member of their team helping to make a difference

This 3-year traineeship will give you the opportunity to get your hands dirty and receive paid work outdoors and practical on-the-job training, all whilst studying towards a nationally recognised **Certificate III in Arboriculture.**

**Culture and Benefits**:

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Trim and chip/mulch trees
- Tree removal
- Pest and weed control
- Undertake appropriate climbing techniques
- Use of relevant machinery including chainsaws and woodchippers

**We’re looking for individuals who**:

- Enjoy working in the outdoors and working with garden tools
- Are committed, reliable and hardworking
- Manage and prioritise time and tasks effectively
- Work effectively in a team with good communication skills
- Have a can-do attitude, and display initiative
- Able to follow directions and work under limited supervision

**Role Requirements**:

- Provisional or full driver’s licence and own vehicle (required)
- Physically fit and healthy due to manual labour work
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment, including a drug and alcohol test
- Previous experience in gardening or similar trade advantageous
