The Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology brings together staff from academic and clinical backgrounds in medical, surgical, scientific, nursing and allied health to work towards better patient care through an integrated approach to digestive health. The department provides a focus for education and research activities in digestive health.

**About the Role**:
Reporting to the director of Clinical research and the Head of Unit in Hepatology, as the Hepatology Research Coordinator you will play a pivotal role in our Gastroenterology and Hepatology team within the _Southern Adelaide Local Heath Network_ (SALHN), responsible for managing research and clinical trials within the Hepatology Unit. Duties for the role will include:

- Using scientific expertise and competence in achieving the requirements of study protocols and the analysis and interpretation of data from investigator initiated projects,
- Management of clinical trial material, recruitment, databases, advertising, accounts, paperwork, contract and reporting,
- Creating or assisting with the preparation of relevant data for publication and presenting findings at meetings.

**About you**:

- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent,
- Commitment to a team based care and regional integration,
- Ability to solve problems in an analytical manner,
- Ability to access data bases and technical information via the internet.
