**Join our Hepatology Team in a Research focused role**

The Hepatology Research Registrar participates in clinical and research activities in in the SALHN Hepatology Unit. The role is suited to a physician trainee with an interest in Hepatology and research.

**About the role**:
Reporting to the Head of Unit Hepatology and Liver Transplant Medicine, this role will be involved in clinical and research duties within this work area.
- The position has a role in the provision and maintenance of Hepatological Diseases and Sciences with the Surgical and Specialties Division at FMC and their regional links.
- This role participates in clinical activities and clinical research activities within the Hepatology and Liver Transplant Medicine Unit including, but not limited to Hepatology clinics, Liver transplantation and Hepatocellular cancer multidisciplinary meetings, and Hepatology Clinical Trial activities; Training opportunities in Transient Elastography (FibroScan), Endoscopy (1 list per week); Hepatology inpatient care and participation in GI bleeding on-call rosters
- Potential opportunity for external funding arrangements to support educational development

**About you**:

- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
- Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner.
- Acceptance into the RACP accredited training program
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including colleagues and other professional staff, proficient in written and spoken English.
- A commitment to providing a quality service to patients and their families.
