Senior Security Risk Analyst undertakes Security, Technology and Risk (STaR) assessments for projects and BAU

Hays Technology Geelong are currently partnered with a large Public Sector organisation located in Geelong CBD.
We are seeking to appoint an IT Security Risk Consultant for an initial 12-month contract with a view of further extensions in Geelong, VIC. In this role you will be working as a senior consultant for Technology and Information Security Risk Management, within Program Delivery Practice.

**Your new role**

Reporting to Senior Technology and Information Security Risk Consultant, you will be working with senior executives, Risk, IT and line-of-business managers to influence decisions on acceptable levels of risk delivered by projects. As part of the Program Delivery Practice, you will be accountable for the identification, assessment and reporting on information security and technology risks assessments across all projects and business solutions providing direction on effective trade-off of cost versus risk, influencing informed management decisions.

You will be responsible for provide specialist technology risk consultancy and assessment services to manage the Information Security and Technology risks, underlying threats and vulnerabilities across the project portfolio.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be considered for this role, you will have:

- Demonstrated experience in risk management in complex technology environments including, but not limited to, strategic adoption of cloud based solutions, Agile delivery, innovative solutions and transformational technology change.
- Demonstrated ability to consult and influence senior executives across a multi-faceted workplace.
- Strong understanding of contemporary IT solutions and security treatments.
- Strong communication, organisational and activity management skills.
- Demonstrated experience managing risk activities across the project life cycle.
- Understanding of industry project delivery methodologies.
- Demonstrates behaviours consistent with our organisational values.
- Knowledge of the Government and industry compliance landscape.
- Preference for CISSP, CISA certification and/or equivalent/similar industry certification/s

**$1075 - $1080 per day PLUS superannuation**, with an immediate start and the flexibility to work from home few days in a week.
