**The opportunity**

Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for multiple Quality & Compliance Officers, to join the Compliance Response Taskforce Branch in proactively identifying potential non-compliance, implementing interventions to increase compliant behaviours and evaluation the impact of interventions.

12-month initial Labour Hire contract with the opportunity to extend. APS 4 & 5 level role offering $42.54 - $53.63 hourly + Superannuation. To be based out of either Braddon or Greenway ACT.

This is a hybrid position offering 2 days working from home, with the remaining 3 on site. 37.5-hour work weeks, with 8-hour days expected.

**About the role**:
The APS5 Compliance Response Officer will undertake complex compliance activities and will work under the general direction of the Team Leader. It is required to exercise a degree of independent judgement and make decisions within defined parameters that require some reliance on skills and knowledge in the compliance space. The role will undertake their work in the context of competing priorities and contribute to changes in workplace practices and business improvement strategies.

**As an APS4 Your responsibilities will include**:

- Assisting with the development and implementation of quality assurance and control activities in relation to compliance processes and/or decision making
- Supporting and mentoring team members to ensure the use of quality assurance control activities and enhancing quality controls and processes
- Assisting with the reviewing and updating compliance processes, SOPs and taskcards in line with changes to policies and coordinating system change requests
- Undertaking analysis and reporting to identify issues and contribute to continuous improvement activities

**As an APS5 Your responsibilities will include**
- Undertaking compliance activities in accordance with the relevant legislation, Agency guidelines and documented process
- Ensuring escalations and critical incidents are managed in accordance with Agency framework
- Maintaining accurate records of decisions using Excel and CRM based system products
- Analysing participant and provider data to assess payments made against participant plans
- Completing highly complex assessments to ensure payments are accurately delivered to customers
- Providing assistance and technical advice to support the team through mentoring, development opportunities and monitoring performance

**About you**
- ** Australian citizenship is a requirement to be eligible for this position**:

- Intermediate MS Office skills
- Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong written & verbal communication
- Previous background within Disability or Government highly advantageous
