Desktop Support Technician

**About the role**

As a result of increased commercial partnerships and acquisitions, we are currently seeking a Level 3 Desktop Support Technician with extensive experience in large-scale domain migrations.

This role will play a vital role in consolidating IT systems and infrastructure in line with our own, using your experience in similar migration projects to plan and execute the domain migration process seamlessly, while also resolving any issues that arise.

**What you'll be doing**
- Provide professional, timely, and effective IT support including software, hardware and network support, as well as the identification and resolution of IT troubleshooting activities.
- Play a lead role in the large-scale IT migration project.
- Participate in the automation, deployment, and maintenance of a standard operating environment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of desktop support methodologies and practices.
- Participate in the review of support activities with a view to continual improvement of services provided.
- Follow change management and incident management processes to ensure service continuity and KPIs are met.
- Mentor lower-level desktop support staff and help them develop their skillsets for their own career advancement and all other duties relevant to and ordinarily expected of a Level 3 Desktop Support Engineer.

**Skills and Experience**
- 3-4 years experience in an MSP or a corporate business as a Senior Desktop support or System Administrator role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage incidents and requests in a Windows and Mac environment to a high level.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Windows deployment methodology and deployment technologies.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contribute to a culture of teamwork and take shared responsibility for achieving results.
- Proficiency in Windows PowerShell (Active Directory and Exchange Server Modules).
- Ability to work Saturday shifts on a rotation (TOIL provided).
- Ability to work on-call roster for after-hours support.
