We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused
Desktop Support Specialist
to join our team on a professional services contract. You will play a key role in supporting end users, resolving technical issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance digital services across the organisation.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing technical support for PCs, laptops, end-user devices, peripherals, and Windows desktop environments.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues with common applications such as Microsoft Office, Edge/Chrome, and productivity tools.
- Delivering excellent customer service and stakeholder engagement in line with IT service management principles and agreed service levels.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing subject matter expertise in desktop support.
- Updating and maintaining work instructions, processes, and documentation to ensure accuracy and relevancy.
- Supporting incident, problem, and service fulfilment management while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adapting quickly to new technologies in a fast-changing environment.
What we're looking for:
- Demonstrated experience in a
Desktop Support or End-User Support role
. - Strong technical knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems, MS Office suite, and standard business applications.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply IT policies, principles, processes, and procedures.
- High-level communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and directly with end users.
- Strong customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering value through digital services.
- Experience creating or updating work instructions/processes and assisting with team training.
- Ability to prioritise and execute service improvements aligned with business priorities.
- A collaborative, proactive, and adaptable approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
