Desktop Support Technician

As the Desktop Support Technician, you will join our experienced IT Desktop Support team providing support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the organisation's computing environment, office, and associated IT infrastructure.

**About You**

Ideally, you possess experience in an enterprise corporate environment, however, this is now essential. This role will have the opportunity to help mature and grow our desktop support processes - whilst learning some cutting-edge technologies and platforms.

**What you will do**
- Provide professional, timely, and effective IT support including software, hardware, and network support; as well as the identification and resolution of IT troubleshooting activities.
- Deliver high-level customer service, which is proactive, cooperative and dependable by understanding user requirements and developing rapport with clients.
- Basic logistic operations of procuring IT equipment for on-site and remote users with direction.
- Hardware management, tracking.
- Assist in the maintenance of desktop support methodologies and practices.
- Maintain user accounts and configures appropriate access controls.
- Maintain physical access cards and security card programming.
- Other duties as directed by the Desktop Support Team Lead.

**Who we’re looking for**
- Demonstrated experience of working in an IT Helpdesk and/or Managed IT Service environment is advantageous..
- Demonstrated ability to manage incidents and requests in a Windows and Mac environment to a high level.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Windows deployment methodology and deployment technologies (SCCM, network boot).
- Demonstrated knowledge of core Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory (Azure and on-prem).
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contribute to a culture of teamwork and take shared responsibility for achieving results.
- Ability to work Saturday shifts on a rotation (TOIL provided).
- Ability to work on-call roster for after-hours support.
