Purpose of Role:
The purpose of the role is to assist the Quality Manager to define, document, monitor and audit, promote and improve the Quality Management System of Weir Australia within the Weir Minerals Dewatering business. This role will promote the voice of the customer, whether internal or external, throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities:
The Quality Officer role is dynamic and is responsible for, but is not limited to, the following:
- To document or assist others in documenting our Standards and Procedures.- To take an active role in the management of Quality Corrective Action Requests (CARs) including carrying out any assigned corrective and preventive actions and attending regular CAR review meetings.- To assist in quality-discipline internal auditing.- To manage corrective actions required for our customers with the required level of urgency and importance.- To assist the dewatering projects department in detailing project inspection and test plans (ITPs) and inspection checklists as required, and compiling project MDRs with the records generated under a project ITP.- To assist the dewatering projects department in compiling and submitting quality documents including ITPs, plans, procedures and records for a project.- To assist the dewatering projects department in carrying out supplier surveillance for project-specific items such as welded or painted items.- To assist the supply chain department in providing supplier feedback on quality issues, carry out technical analysis of issues with supplied Items and make decisions on them such as use-as-is, rework, return, scrap etc.- To assist with communicating quality issues that require design updates.- To assist with stock rework and scrapping according to engineering directions provided.- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:- Mechanical trade background/knowledge or welding experience/knowledge- Mechanical Engineering degree- Technical skills in the form of use of measuring equipment including micrometers, tapes, verniers and calipers.- Qualifications in the form of Forklift ticket, Doggers HRW license, Overhead Crain Competency.- Computer skills in the form of word processing, Excel, experience with CAD software and SAP.
