Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across three campuses in the North East of Melbourne and state-wide. **The Capital Works and Infrastructure team consists of a diverse group of professionals including Designers, Architects, Engineers, and nurses who work together to manage the refurbishment, redevelopment and infrastructure replacement activites across the organisation, from project inception to completion. We currently have an exciting and diverse portfolio of projects ranging from minor refurbishments to new mental health facilities.**

**About the role**:
A regular day will see you:

- **Working with the Capital Works PM's to drive quality and consistancy through our projects by the evaluation and selection of appropriate fittings, fixtures, materials, furniture and equipment for our projects**:

- **Collaborating with external consultants, suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that products used are fit for purpose, tested, reviewed, and consolidated into the design guide**:

- **Assist the project PM's to deliver their projects by co-ordinating delivery, installation and commissioning activities**:

- **Ensure that project documentation provided by architectural consultants are consistant with the requirements of the Health Facility Guidelines**:

- **Testing of new projects and development of a test, review and evaluation programme.**:

- **Selecting finishes and fixtures for smaller projects that are undertaken in-house.**

**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will have:

- **Excellent written and verbal communication skills - you will be required to write the organisation's design guide and undertake regular updates to ensure that the guide is always current. Good writing and editing skills are essential.**:

- **Relevant interior design qualifications or experience would be beneficial but not essential. The role is suitable for those with life experience, or looking to return to the workforce. This is not a typical interior design role, but rather one that manages quality in practice**:

- **Excellent logistics experience - organising and delivering logístically challenging outcomes**:

- **A desire to work in the health environment**:

- **A desire to work with a team of like minded professionals who are dedicated to delivering improved outcomes in the built environment, that enhances the experience for our staff and patients**:
