**About the Breast Surgery Unit and Breast Survivorship**

The Breast Surgery Unit at Austin Health provides specialist surgical care across the Austin and Heidelberg Repatriation campuses, with a strong focus on clinical excellence, research, and surgical education. The Unit is supported by a dedicated Breast Care Clinical Nurse Consultant team, including Breast Survivorship services, who deliver holistic, patient-centred care.

Breast Cancer Survivorship is a vital part of the care journey, focusing on the wellbeing of patients post-treatment. Guided by the McGrath Model of Care, the team provides personalised, evidence-based support that empowers patients to navigate life after cancer through collaborative care planning, accessible information, and a flexible, person-centred approach.

**About the role**

This part-time position (9 hours per week) plays a vital supporting role assisting the Breast Survivorship Nurse in the coordination of post-treatment care, including scheduling, communication with patients and clinical teams, maintaining survivorship care plans, and supporting service evaluation.

Working within the dynamic SAPM Division as part of the Breast Care Team and guided by the McGrath Model of Care, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the wellbeing of breast cancer survivors. We are looking for someone with strong communication and administrative skills, empathy, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:

- Provide compassionate, person-centred support to breast cancer survivors.
- Coordinate post-treatment care, including scheduling and patient communication.
- Have strong communication and administrative skills
- Assist with service evaluation and liaise with clinical teams to support care delivery.
