**Your new role**
This 12 month contract is reporting to the Senior Manager, Compliance Member Operations and is a key part in AustralianSuper’s 1st line Risk and Compliance team for Fund Services. Your role is responsible for 1st line compliance across Member Operations within our Fund Services Group’s. You will be responsible for reviewing and approving activities and materials and being a key regulatory and technical SME for Fund Services.
- Key duties include but are not limited to: _
- Provide day-to-day compliance reviews, assessments, feedback and sign-off as required for the Fund Services teams (Operations, Insurance Operations, Insurance Claims, Incident Management, Remediation and Arrears).
- This includes review communications and other member and employer material to ensure compliance with the SIS Act and other relevant legislation. As required, provide comments and compliance reviews on documentation including (but not limited to) member letters, guides and fact sheets, member and employer forms, remediation and claim communications and templates.
- Review materials and programs across the Fund Services departments to ensure they comply with the SIS Act, Corporations Act and other relevant legislation, Prudential Standards and other relevant regulations.
- Working in collaboration with the Compliance Manager and stakeholders in Fund Services to provide support to ensure compliance with the Fund Services Group’s regulatory obligations are understood and complied with on an ongoing basis.
- Assist in developing and implementing appropriate systems and processes to address and comply with new regulations.
- Provide technical support, including interpretation of complex regulatory issues, on a range of matters across Fund Services focusing on superannuation and relevant financial services law.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships across all levels within Fund Services and other Groups, including Line 1, Line 2 and Line 3 areas across the Fund.
**What you’ll need**
- 3+ years’ experience in financial services compliance and an understanding of financial products and business processes.
- Commitment to AustralianSuper’s purposes and values.
- Experience with and understanding of compliance regulations.
- Strong knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks.
- Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure, high-stress situations.
- High level of personal integrity as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters.
- Commercially astute.
- Ability to develop and maintain high quality interpersonal relationships with stakeholders at all levels, both within and outside the Fund.
- Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant discipline and RG146 competency - desirable
