**About the role**:
As a Rostering Officer, you’ll play a key role in creating and maintaining efficient rosters for operational staff, ensuring compliance, safety, and service delivery across multiple Aurizon locations.
- Prepare and manage efficient rosters, including leave rosters, for Locomotive Drivers and Terminal Staff in line with rostering principles and the Aurizon Enterprise Agreement
- Ensure compliance with the Rail Safety Management System, including fatigue risk management and operational readiness
- Support crew efficiency through proactive rostering and use of the Crew Rostering Model
- Coordinate training and assessment schedules in collaboration with Training and Operations teams
- Monitor operational demands and adjust crew deployment, resource allocation, and service plans as needed
- Contribute to business improvement initiatives and support the team in meeting performance targets

**About you**:
You’re a detail-oriented team player with a strong safety mindset and a passion for efficient planning.
- Proven commitment to safety and demonstrated safe working behaviours
- Experience in logistics planning, rostering systems, and (ideally) systems testing
- Strong administrative and IT skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel and rostering software
- Excellent time management, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Flexible, collaborative, and able to remain calm under pressure
