The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Business Support Officer to provide a critical role within Police, Racing, Victims and Coordination
**About the Business Unit**
The FAS is highly anticipated by victims and stakeholders and represents a major leap forward in government's response to victims of crime. Established under the Victims of Crime (Financial Assistance Scheme) Act 2022 the FAS will provide financial assistance through a simple and easy to navigate process that is fair, sensitive, and responsive to victims' needs. It will acknowledge harm done and be trauma informed, inclusive and culturally safe
**About the Role**
Reporting to the FAS Payment and Business Support Manager, you will be responsible for the administrative tasks in support of the successful operation of the FAS team. This may include coordinating team communications to support operating rhythms, training, and recruitment.
**Some of your duties will include**:
- Manage the business support functions for the FAS business.
- Manage the FAS office facilities, including logging issues when they arise and holding accountability to follow up until they are resolved. This includes ensuing the stationery is stocked, ordering and receiving deliveries, maintain the kitchen will all necessary supplies etc.
- Manage the HR administration process for the FAS, including managing the onboarding process, recruitment administration, L&D administration, proactively requesting and updating the FAS establishment report, and other HR tasks as required.
- Manage finance administration for the FAS, including raising purchase orders, paying invoices, and proactively following up issues until resolved

**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
**Technical Expertise**
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, Project, and Power Point.
- Experience writing and delivering internal communications and website updates.
- Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Experience using Oracle Financial System, Salesforce Service Cloud, or other similar case management systems.
- Commitment to pursuing a culturally safe workplace and organisation and improved outcomes for Aboriginal people, aligned with the principle of self-determination.
**Qualifications**
- A relevant qualification and/or experience in business administration, communications, community services, social work, victim services and/or family violence is desirable.
