Maintenance Officer

Buckland is a quality provider of Aged Care services situated in Springwood in the Lower Blue Mountains NSW. We are currently seeking a **Maintenance Officer** to join our team on a **part-time or full-time basis**. In this role, you will attend to maintenance duties within our Nursing Home.
- Have maintenance experience in a hospitality or accommodation setting - **desirable but not essential**:

- Have knowledge and skill in maintaining property and groundskeeping
- Be willing to undertake work in all areas of the aged care facility
- Deliver quality service to a high standard within the timeframes set
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills
- Have sound computer skills
- Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety principles
- Demonstrate respect for the elderly
- Have their own transport or live locally
- Have a positive “can do” attitude

**Duties of the position**:

- Undertake general day to day maintenance repair’s, general operation of buildings, service hardware and equipment
- Ensure all maintenance duties are completed in a safe manner by following the appropriate policies and procedures
- Ensure that repairs and maintenance of equipment used in resident care and common areas is undertaken in a timely manner
- Work co-operatively with other members of the care and maintenance team
- When required, oversee and coordinate any required contractors working on site
- Report to the Facility Manager and take direction as required
- Complete preventative and corrective maintenance programs and ensure the records are kept up to date
