IWA is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and positive individual to join our team. IWA is a community organisation providing a wide range of services to assist people from mainstream and culturally, linguistically & religiously diverse backgrounds.
As a front-desk administrator you will be the face of the organisation when clients visit and provide support to all IWA teams including aged care, NDIS service delivery and settlement services. Your role includes duties such as reception, general administration duties, inventory control and support with hall hire enquiries/bookings and meeting bookings (internal/external). Main tasks will include:
- Manage front desk operations including phone, email, and in-person enquiries.
- Greet and assist visitors, directing them to the appropriate staff.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, courier services, and general correspondence.
- Maintain reception and office registers, including guest, staff, and equipment logs.
- Organise meeting rooms, facilities, and catering arrangements.
- Provide administrative support to managers and staff, including document preparation and data entry.
- Assist with inventory management and stock control for office, kitchen, and PPE supplies.
- Coordinate property and office maintenance, cleaning, and recycling activities.
- Troubleshoot basic IT and office equipment issues and arrange repairs as needed.
- Manage vehicle bookings, monitor logbooks, and ensure fleet upkeep.
- Maintain general tidiness and organisation of the office and common areas.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Experience and willingness to work in culturally and linguistically diverse community service environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills including effective personal and telephone communication techniques as well as the ability to initiate written correspondence as required.
- Demonstrated administration skills including the preparation and production of documents, maintenance of organisational records and operation of office equipment
- Have excellent computer and technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office word processing spreadsheet and databases.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage own area of work responsibility without supervision and utilise effective time management
- Ability to demonstrate an enthusiastic and flexible attitude and make a positive contribution to the team environment
Desirable Selection Criteria
- Ability to communicate in a second language.
- Background in administration.
- Open Driver's license.
