**About the role**
- We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Paralegal to join Orica’s high-performing legal team based in our Melbourne office. This role is ideal for recent law graduates with strong academic and leadership experience, or early-career professionals seeking meaningful exposure to commercial legal practice within a global organisation.
- As a key member of our legal team, you will work closely with Orica’s General Counsel and senior legal stakeholders to support a range of strategic initiatives across our AusPac and global operations. This includes assisting with commercial contracts, research, risk reviews, and legal projects linked to our global supply chain and commercial business units.

**What you will be doing**
**Legal & Commercial Support**:
- Draft, review, and support the execution of contracts and legal documents for commercial and other business-related transactions
- Conduct legal research and contribute to the development of internal advice
- Liaise with business stakeholders across AusPac and international operations, including legal, procurement, and commercial teams
**Project & Administrative Coordination**:
- Assist in managing legal risk registers, contract databases, and document management systems
- Support process improvements and legal team initiatives, including compliance tracking and training resources
- Contribute to special projects and strategic legal work led by the General Counsel
**What you will bring**
- A Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor, with a strong academic track record (WAM 85+ or equivalent preferred)
- Up to 2 years of paralegal experience in a corporate or law firm setting
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
- Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage competing priorities
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a solutions-focused mindset
- Confidence working with cross-functional stakeholders in a dynamic environment
- A keen interest in commercial law, contracts, and working in-house within a global business context
