The Lighthouse Café & Bar is seeking a dynamic and experienced Café Supervisor to join our team in Brisbane, Australia. As a Café Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Venue Manager and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our bustling Café.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide leadership and guidance to Café staff, including baristas, servers, and bar staff.
- Maintain exceptional customer service standards, ensuring a positive and memorable dining experience for our valued customers.
- Assist in overseeing daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and ensuring optimal stock levels.
- Monitor and maintain quality control for food and beverage preparation, presentation, and service.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the café.
- Assist in staff scheduling, ensuring appropriate coverage and managing breaks to maintain optimal staffing levels.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and reconcile daily cash registers.
- Assist in training new staff members and provide ongoing training to maintain a well-trained team.
- Facilitate effective communication between staff members and serve as a point of contact for inquiries.
- Collaborate with the Venue Manager to identify and resolve operational issues, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the Café or hospitality industry.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Sound knowledge of Café operations, including food and beverage preparation, inventory management, and health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Cash handling experience and familiarity with POS systems.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Current certification in food handling and safety (desirable).
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
