Position: Digital Community Coordinator
**DIGITAL COMMUNITY COORDINATOR**:
The Wilderness Society is working for a future that does not rely on continued destruction of nature and our climate, but rather flourishes because of our responsible stewardship of these core life support systems. We value organisational independence and integrity.
Be part of a team that’s secured some of the biggest wins for Australian wilderness and nature: stopping the damming of the Franklin River forty years ago, protecting Waldaman / James Price Point in the Kimberley from a ginormous gas hub, or defending special forests the length and breadth of this continent.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
This position is responsible for designing, producing, project managing and measuring the effectiveness of organic content across Wilderness Society campaign and fundraising priorities. Collaboration with people across the organisation will be key in producing creative content for our different audience engagement channels.
**HOW THE WILDERNESS SOCIETY SUPPORTS OUR STAFF**:
Our approach to diversity is about embracing everyone. From building a culture where all employees can bring their best selves to work to deploying initiatives that support the different needs of our staff, we are proud to be part of building an inclusive world for all.
We are a supportive and inclusive workplace with excellent conditions, including:
- Five weeks of annual leave per year
- Genuine flexibility in working hours and location with financial support for office and/or remote working
- 15 days personal leave
- 3 additional leave days at end of year
- Floating public holidays
- Commitment to supporting your professional development
- Access to Long Service Leave after five years of continuous service
- Access to our Employee Assistance Program
- Regular 1:1 meetings for coaching and management support
- Performance conversations for reflections and growth
- When you start, a co-developed initial 3 month work plan
**IS THIS FOR YOU?**:
We’d love to have you if you:
- Have a can-do attitude, with the ability to learn new skills and adapt to new contexts quickly
- Can drive your own areas of work
- Are ready to take up the invitation and the challenge of the role
- Are comfortable working to rapid response timelines
- Are eager to grow your skills, experience and the organisation’s impact
- Bring a dedication to transforming Australia into a society that protects, respects and connects with the natural world that sustains us.
If you identify as a First Nations person, a woman, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, a person with a disability, a person of colour, or if you are from a culturally and linguistically diverse background, we strongly encourage you to apply.
- Applicants must have the right to live and work in Australia to be considered for the role._
