At MyState Bank we’re committed to investing in our local communities, so we’re on the hunt for a highly motivated and driven individual to join our team as our Community Coordinator. The Community Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and administration of the MyState Foundation and Staff Volunteering Program and will coordinate initiatives that will enhance our reputation and strengthen our relationships within the communities we serve.
The MyState Foundation has been helping to educate, nurture and support the young people of Tasmania since 2001. We help young people access opportunities they might not otherwise have access to by supporting a range of charitable programs and activities.
**Here’s what you’ll be doing**:
- Identify and cultivate relationships with community partners to develop mutually beneficial partnerships that align with our purpose and values.
- Coordinate the MyState Foundation’s Annual Grant Round including adherence to key timelines and day-to-day report management through the SmartyGrants software.
- Build and maintain relationships with our Foundation grant recipients including delivering an annual contact program inclusive of phone calls and onsite visits.
- Create and launch an annual Staff Volunteering Program, working closely with our Grant recipients and broader community partners to identify opportunities for our team.
- Administer all aspects of the Staff Volunteering Program including registering and coordinating _Working with Vulnerable People_ _Registrations_, completing internal risk assessments, arranging appropriate uniform, briefing our team on responsibilities and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless running of the program.
- Monitor and report on the success of the Staff Volunteering Program, including tracking volunteer hours and impact metrics.
- Collaborate with our marketing and communications teams to develop messaging and materials to support community initiatives and raise the profile of our Foundation both externally and internally.
- Assist with general administration activities within the People, Community & Public Affairs team, including event administration.
**Here are the key skills and strengths we’re looking for**:
- You’re passionate about giving back to the communities we operate in and demonstrate our values: create customer ‘wow’, chase the better and collaborate to win.
- You’re a self-starter and can operate with a high level of autonomy.
- You’re an all-round team player and people person with excellent communication skills, including the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- You’re computer savvy with the ability to use or learn the SmartyGrants software to administer our Foundation grants.
- You have highly developed business and financial acumen.
- You’re process driven with high attention to detail.
- You’re organised with strong administrative skills when it comes to maintaining systems, processes, procedures and registers.
**About us**
Oh hi We’re MyState. You might know us as Tasmania’s local bank, but our group also includes TPT Wealth. Now employing over 350 people and offering products and services all around Australia, MyState Limited is growing really quickly, both in and outside of Tassie. It’s a really exciting time to join our team.
We’re determined to do things in way they’ve never been done before, and make a real difference in the lives of our customers. We know we’re better when we’re in this together and only win when our people, customers and community win too.
Our strategy is bold and brave, and we’re growing really quickly. That means lots of failing, learning, and trying again. It takes energy and courage to chase the better every day. Does that sound like you? Could you be the next person we’re looking for?
We’re small enough to care (and really mean it), but big enough to make an impact.
The human way to bank, and the human place to work.
